Leica M9 Factory Build Recorded and Shared with Us

When it comes to digital cameras some of the best, coolest looking, and most expensive hail from the Leica brand. The company makes some really nice products, but when basic versions of the M9 cost in the $7,000 range and special editions cost in the area of $17,000 few of us will ever afford one of our own.


I do like to see how things are made though and if you are interested in the M9 and how it is built these two videos will be right up your alley. A couple things that struck me about the factory are that they take the time to wear hair and shoe coverings, and then don’t bother with gloves.
I would think gloves would be required in a clean room like this. I was also surprised at how slowly the cameras are built. Perhaps she was going slowly because she knew the person was filming her. Check out the videos below to see the build process.
